Opportunity and position information: Mining Tire Tech needed.
Requirements:
*4+ years OTR tire repair and sales experience
*High Sschool diploma or equivalent, valid Drivers License with safe driving record and Forklift Certification where applicable
*CDL required for driving 26,001 + lb. truck per DOT/MOT regulations
*Training Certifications: TIA Level 3 and MSHA (U.S. only)
Duties will include:
TIRE SERVICE
Work daily at customers mining location (if applicable).
Service all sizes of OTR and mining equipment tires.
Use specialized hydraulic equipment when changing customer tires.
Provide preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis on customers premises, inspect tires for wear, cuts, breaks, etc., and make appropriate recommendations to owner/operator, change tires and tubes, etc.
Observe need for services and opportunities to recommend additional purchase of tires, retreading, parts, or service work.
VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
Maintain tools, equipment and service truck in efficient operating condition.
Responsible for checking all fluid levels to insure a clean vehicle, both internal and external appearance.
Maintain a clean vehicle, both internal and external appearance.
Monitor and report any necessary repairs for equipment.
Adhere to all traffic and speed regulations.
MISCELLANEOUS
Assist in the upkeep of the cleanliness, orderliness and appearance of service area.
Attend meetings (staff, safety, etc.) held by Store Manager and/or Service Manager.
Perform jobs using proper and safe procedures at all times.
Use personal protective equipment according to regulations and policies.
Maintain equipment in good working order. Notify manager immediately of defects.
Be able to perform all duties/tasks of Tire Tech 1, 2 and 3.
Safety is critical working near large tires.
Must be able to lift and/or move tires weighing between 30-250 lbs. with or without mechanical assistance.
Works without constant supervision.
Operate forklift as required with proper certification.
Environment is very hot during summer months and cold during winter months.
Exposure to various chemicals used in cleaning, lubrication, etc.
Frequent bending, twisting and lifting.
Repetitive and sustained exertions, forceful exertions, awkward postures, mechanical stress concentrations,
vibrations.
